Boot Making Workshop March 4-10
March 4-10, 2012 - 7 days - 10 am - 4 pm most days Soft knee or ankle length flat soled boot, using suede or garment hide. Pattern drafting, design and construction will be taught. Some hand stitching as well as machine stitching. Call with questions 479 363-9402

Shoe Making Workshop with Lorna Trigg Hirsch
March 12-16, 2012 - 5 full days - 10 am - 4 pm Designs will be based on a good all round walking shoe, flat sole. Suggested leathers are a buttery soft garment hide, giving almost a slipper type feel. Some hand stitching, as well as machine stitching for construction. Call with questions 479 363-9402

Women Be Wise Mar 31 & April 1, 2012
Two day Event (Pre-Registration is required & indicate if attending Sweat Lodge) Tap into the primal, tribal self and join this gathering of Women in Community. Taking time to honor the sacred way of ritual and celebration, creativity and communication, we will join in seeking spiritual guidance, as we share in our knowledge and of ourselves. Sat Mar 31, 2012 - 4pm to 10pm Coming together for the first time, preparing ourselves and the Moon Lodge for a Sweat Lodge Ceremony. During this Lodge we will revisit the teachings of The Thirteen Clan Mothers, who we honor in our gathering each Full Moon. (You may choose to enter lodge or enjoy sitting with Grandfather Fire during the ceremony). Sun April 1, 2012 - 10am - 6pm Greeting the day and each other, setting intention for being open and ready to receive. Herbs & Botanicals Weekend - Saturday
Saturday, April 21, 2012 - 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Backyard Medicinals - Discovery & Documentation with Steven Foster An informational and explorative day with Steven Foster, renowned author and photographer of Medicinal Plants and Herbs,(Petersens Guide, National Geographic) Steven will present a slide show of medicinals common to Arkansas and guide us on an identification walk from backyard to surrounding woods, plus offer tips and tricks on photographing specimens. What to bring: Bag lunch (or request your meal below), journal/notebook, camera, hiking shoes. Rain gear if inclement.
Fee: $30 bring a bag lunch or $45 includes lunch Menu: Vegetarian, locally grown, whole food nutritious lunch meal, paired with a fresh fruit cobbler.
Optionally, Register for both Saturday and Sunday - choose 2 of the 3 workshops: - $65 or $80 (plus add on for meals either day) (Optional lodging is available on campus in the Artists Cottage or Main Lodge guest room or dorm, rates is per night) Our Cancellation Policy entails a $15 administrative fee. Herb & Botanical Weekend - Sunday
Sunday, April 22,2012 - 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM PLANT SPIRIT COMMUNICATIONS with Melissa Clare We will enter into a respectful relationship with the plant world, exploring both a meditative and shamanic approach. We will invite friendly input as well as artistic inspiration from the plant spirits, offering our gratitude. This session will include dream journeying as well as group sharing. Participants should bring color pencils, notebooks a blanket/pad to lie on (plus a bag lunch). We will be sitting in nature so bring a groundsheet or cushion to sit on, and if the weather is inclement bring rain gear. $20 (bring your own lunch) or with optional lunch $35 Register for this workshop on Sun plus Steven Foster on Sat - $50 or $80 with lunch both days.
